2016 Parkview School Cross Country

Parkview School 2016 Cross Country Arthur Adcock Memorial Reserve Wednesday 18th May (PP Friday 20th May) All Parents/Caregivers/whanau are invited to the annual Parkview School Cross-Country on Wednesday 18th May.  Our students have been out daily doing extra fitness work to build up for this event.  Successful runners from years 5-8 will qualify to represent Parkview at the East Zone cross country to be held at Queenspark on Tuesday 24th-May.  All competing students will be earning House-points with place-getters earning bonus points.  As it is a House competition students will be able to wear mufti in their house colours only.  A gold coin donation will be collected to raise money for our various sporting events run by the school. Also this year Parents /Caregivers are invited to run with their child(ren), in their age group race. Approximate start times; 1.00pm – Yr 7/8 race - 4 laps 3100m 1.15pm – Yr 5 race - 3 laps 2400m 1.30pm – Yr 6 race - 3 laps 2400m 1.45pm - Yr 4 race 1 lap 1000m 1.55pm - Yr 3 race  1 lap 1000m 2.05pm – Yr2 race 1/2 lap 560m 2.10pm – Yr 0/1 race  1/2 lap 560m Please note these are approximate start times only, as factors such as weather, previous races etc. may mean adjustments need to be made.
