East Zone Swimming 2015

East Zone Swimming Competition. Yesterday a team of six swimmers travelled to Jellie Park pools to represent Parkview at the annual East Zone Primary Schools Swimming competition.  Our team consisted of Jennifer Haslett, Ruby Lewis, Hiromu Crosado, Manaaki Waretini-Beaumont, Brook Teear and Katy deThier-Pinker.  Up against some strong competition and a growing number of competitors, our team can be particularly proud of their efforts.  Ruby, Katy and Brooke all swam in finals with Brooke finishing first in the 12 year old girls 50m backstroke.  This qualifies her to go through to the Canterbury Primary Schools Swimming Sports to be held on Monday 30th March at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre.  Awesome effort Brooke!  Well done to all the team and special thanks to Paula Burgess for her help with transport and supervision at the pool.
